The Canadian Food Security Policy Group (FSPC), the Canadian producers associations have organised a North-South roundtable. Several signatories of the Dakar Declaration were present notably the Dairy Farmers of Canada, the Federation of Workers in Family Farming of the Southern Region of Brazil (Fetraf-Sul/CUT), the National Farmers Union (NFU), the Farmers Organisations and Agricultural Producers Network of West Aftrica (ROPPA). They have participated in the drafting of a common declaration:
The study trip that preceded the roundtable gave the participants the opportunity to share knowledge on methods of supply management used in Canada.
